Winter Light #2

This is a picture of snow with some tracks in it. I like how this picture has shadows of the tracks, and how there is an orange glow to this picture from the sun. The main subject of this picture is the snow/tracks. The orange color made this photo much more interesting than the picture without the sun.

This picture was taken later in the day than the picture above. The main subject again is the snow/tracks. You can see from these two pictures that the lighting is very important in photography because it can make the photo much more interesting. The photo above turned out better because of the lighting and the orange glow to the snow. This picture is kind of boring because it is all one color, and is dark, which makes this have a sad/not a happy feeling to it.

In this picture the main subject is the different looking tree to the right of the picture. The sun is the secondary subject. I like how this picture has a colorful/bright sky behind the trees to make the trees look dark and shadow-like.

This is one of Linda's photos of the desert. I think this picture is really good, because the shape of the sand is a triangle, and then the sand has some really cool designs in it.

This is a picture of a staircase taken by Linda. I like how the staircase has a weird shape to it from this view.

This is a picture of the sky and trees. I like this picture because The trees are in one spot, but it looks like the sky was moving a lot. I also like how the trees are black, and its just like a shadow of trees against the gray sky.

This is a picture of a baby elephant. This is a good picture because The elephant is the only dark object in the photo which makes it stand out better. I also like how the light around the elephant is bright.

Winter Texture

This is a picture of two tails from different things in my backyard. The trail on the right is from me, but I'm not sure what the other trail is from. The two trails are the main subject. I took this picture because i thought it looks cool with two different kinds of tracks next to each other. This would be a fluffy texture because of the soft snow in the middle and in the tracks.
This is a picture of some pines in our window. The main subject is the pines with snow on it. This is a pokey/sharp texture because of the pokey needles. I like this picture because there is the main subject, and then at the bottom there are a few christmas lights.
This is a picture of the bricks at my house. There was a light layer of snow on them and you could still see the design of the bricks underneath it, so i thought it would make for a good picture. This texture is rough because the snow looks kind of rough on the bricks, and bricks are rough also. You could also have a line texture here too because of the lines the bricks form.

Winter Light

This is a picture of the sky from the other morning. I woke up, and when i looked out the window the sun was just rising and was filling the clouds with a red tint. I took this picture because I thought the color of the sky was really pretty and its different than what the sky usually looks like.

This is a picture of the trail from my feet when i walked through my yard. This has to do with winter light, because the sunlight is shining on the trail and making shadows. I like how out of the whole yard, there is only that one little branch sticking up out of the snow.
This is a picture of some plant in my backyard. The little branches are the main subject of this photo. I like how only the branches are in focus and then the background is bright with some shadows from the sun shining. This goes with the theme "winter light" again because the light is shining in the background, and there are some shadows.
