Personality Portrait

These two pictures really show Alex's personality! She can be really fun and crazy or she can be not so fun to be around! haha

Best Frienndddd! Alex really didnt want her picture taken, so it was pretty hard to get a decent photo. This is what I came up with out of all of the pictures I took!

Bubbles!

Molly blowing bubbles. I like how there are a few bubbles that actually appear in this picture. I also like how the swing chain is in the picture too! I think the chain makes this a little bit more interesting.

Here is Jazmine blowing some bubbles. I think Jazmine and Molly had the hardest time blowing bubbles! ;) I like the background in this picture. It is simple but interesting.

Molly trying to blow bubbles! It was kind of funny to do this assignment, because some people couldn't barely blow a bubble! I also like how there is one blurry bubble at the top of this picture.

This is a picture of Jenna! I like this picture because it is of the photographer. Usually when you are looking at pictures, you only see the "model" but it is different here.

Kristen! I really like this picture because it is just of her face, and you can see the bubbles being blown. I also really like how its right up close and then the background is just white. I did not take this picture though. Jazmine took this picture of Kristen when she was using my camera.

Best Of!

This is one of my favorite pictures that i took this year. I took this picture for the "Light and Shadows" assignment! I like how the flowers are very in focus, and then the background and the shadows of the flowers are blurry.

For this picture, I really like how the shadows are very accented (Not sure if that is the right word?) I like how the whites are white and all of the shadows are very dark or black. This photo was taken for the "Lines in Nature" assignment.

One day after school, I went with my neighbor to go take care of her horse. While we were there I took some pictures of him. It was pretty hard to get some good ones since he was always moving! I don't remember what assignment this was for but I really like how the background is completely white and covered in snow. I also like how even though the background is white, you can still make out the different things.

I'm not sure what assignment this picture was taken for either, but I think that this picture really turned out well with the light shining through the ice, and making a faint glow to it.

I love the way this picture looks. I like how the picture is panoramic, and that the trees are silhouettes against the sun.
This picture kind of has an "old feel" to it. I don't know why but to me it does. I like how the picture is gray, and how you can see many interesting things in the background other than the main subject.

This picture was taken in the arboretum around January-February. I like how all of the trees seem to be going towards the middle, and I like how they are black against the bright sky.

My dog Benji! I was home for a couple of days after surgery, so I was pretty bored while everybody was at school. I decided to go outside and take some pictures for one of the assignments that was coming up. I like how my dog is laying in the middle of some dandelions. I think that this picture would have been pretty boring if it weren't for the dandelions.

So, I couldn't decide between this picture or the picture below, of which one I liked better! I have likes and dislikes about both of them, which made it even harder to choose from. I like how in this picture you can see many trails of water, which make this interesting. I don't like how you have to really look in the back to see them.

I like how this picture has very accented water trails, but i do not like how this photo appears almost straight on.

Graduation - Open Theme

Well, Brooke Graduated! This is a picture of her class at Graduation. I like how this picture looks like a panorama. I wish the peoples' heads on the bottom wouldn't have gotten in this picture though!

My cousin Matthew.. I was taking a whole bunch of pictures of him at Brooke's party, because you never know what he's going to do! I have a bunch of pictures of him making dumb faces at me. but I wont post those ones.. haha. I like this picture because Matt isn't making a dumb face, it is very clear, and there is no distracting background. This shows Matt's personality because he is allways wearing that hat...everywhere! This picture also shows that Matt is a happy person and fun to be around. (most of the time)

My aunt made these cookies for Brooke! They definitely represent Brooke! with the cowboy boots since she is obsessed with everything country, the graduation hats because she was graduating, and the horse shoes for "good luck" or because she likes riding horses too.

Just a couple of people from my crazy family! Nothing too special about this picture. This kind of shows how my family is, because there is 1 girl with 4 other guys. Thats pretty much how it is all the time since our family consists of mostly guys!

I love Alexa's expression in this picture! Alexa came to Brooke's graduation party with her family, since Brooke babysits them! While Alexa was bouncing on the bouncy house I got this picture of her. I wish this picture would have been more in focus when I took it!

Brooke's signature picture frame. Again, there is nothing to special about this picture. I think the background is a little bit distracting from the main focus, but everything in this picture also has something to do with Brooke, so it all goes together in one way or another..

Land of Giants Re-Edit

I decided to re-edit this picture to make me brighter. My face might be a little too bright compared to the guy's, but it is very similar to the brightness of the girls' faces!

Light and Shadow

There is a really pretty tree in my backyard that is filled with all of these pink flowers! I decided to use a picture of the tree for my assignment! I took the picture of the flowers on the tree and made sure that you could see the shadows from the tree. I like how only the flowers are in focus, and the trees shadow is blurry in the background.

It is hard to see in this photo, but all of the dandelions are casting little shadows. I tried to make the shadows "pop" out more but I couldn't really do it without making the rest of the picture look horrible! I think this picture turned out okay, but if the shadows would have "popped out" more that would have made this picture better.

My puppy Benji! We went outside the other day to take pictures, since I as sitting at home bored after surgery! It must have been too hot for him because he was panting with his tongue out the whole time! Anyways, he was sitting there so I took a picture of him. This picture works for "Light and Shadow", because the sunlight is causing my dog to cast a shadow.

Land of Giants

My Familyyyyy! haha, just kidding. For this assignment I decided to make myself tiny. I was originally going to have myself with some Barbies but i only have a "doll house" house. So I didn't use the Barbie idea. I ended up using my doll house people so that I could actually be inside the house. I think this turned out pretty good! The shadow looks realistic, but I think I could have been a little bit brighter. The doll house people are very bright, but I am dark, because of the lighting from when the pictures were taken. And yes, my little girl doll only has one hand! My dog ate her hand off when he was a puppy!

Single Subject

This is my single-subject result. I used my cat for this assignment because I had a hard time thinking of something to take pictures of for this! I like how all of the pictures fit together nicely. I like how the white border around each image looks on this too! I could not get as many different pictures as I would have liked, because my cat was getting really mad at me and kept running away!

Alphabet

My alphabet is finally done! I liked this assignment, it made me think about different objects that could represent a letter, and it made me look around for things. The hardest part about this was trying to get all of the letters to fit in the picture! I really like how this turned out, and I think the black background works good to make the pictures pop out more.

Urban Decay

This is a picture of a little gazebo type thing in my neighbors back yard. I think this shows urban decay because this is not in very good shape. The paint is chipping away, and the table is broken which shows urban decay.

This fence against the gazebo is broken and falling apart. I think that because it is falling apart and is broke, it works good for urban decay.

This is a picture of the floor in the gazebo. The flooring has chipped away paint, and has a bunch of leaves in the back showing that this has been abandoned, and hasn't been cared for it. I like how this picture has a small area of focus in the back of this picture.

Warmth

The other night we grilled out, and there was a fire on the grill. I figured this would work good for the warmth assignment because fire is very warm!

This is the thermometer thing on the grill. The grill was getting very very hot! 500 degrees definitely works for warm.

On March 30, 2013, I colored easter eggs! These are all of the eggs that I colored. This picture works for "warm", because holidays and being with my family gives me a warm feeling. Coloring the eggs was really fun and gave us all a happy/ warm feeling.

Typical Day

This is my Typical Day. First I wake up at abut 7:30 every morning, then I do my hair, pick out something to wear, brush my teeth, and go to school! Finally, at 3:30 I get home from school. I let the dog outside and then I eat eat eat! Then I feed the cat and dog because my mom is usually working and is not home to feed them at 1:00. After I feed the animals I get more food and sit down at 4:00 to watch ellen. At 5:00 ellen is done and then I usually just sit around and do whatever until about 8:00. At 8:00 I take a shower. After that, I do lots of homework and then finally when im done with my homework I get to go to sleep!

CD Cover - The Blues

This is the cover for my Blues CD cover. I think all of these photos work well for the blues, because they are dark. I like how the person is mostly just a silouhette in these and the background is bright.

For the inside cover I used this picture of my sister holding the guitar over her shoulder. I like how everything is a shadow. Also, the blue text works good for these, because it is a dark color like the pictures.

The back cover of my CD is a shadow of my sisters head with a hat on that kind of works well with the Blues theme. I like how the words fit nicely on this cover.

Multi-View

This is my result for the multi-view assignment. For this assignment I took pictures of my dog.I really like how There are different "square sections" in this photo, creating different colors to a layer. I also like how the dogs are transparent and you can see the shape of the dog in every layer.
